Looking for good GERD friendly recipes
Looking for good GERD-friendly recipes. Gluten-free and lactose-free. No pepper, no chili. Having trouble coming up with stuff that also tastes good. Anyone know any GERD friendly recipes? I'd love some ideas!

I'm finding that a lot of GERD friendly recipes online either have trigger ingredients or they use off the wall ingredients that are either really expensive or you can find.

The acid watchers diet has some good recipes . You can check it out at the library before buying just to see if it's for you . One of the recipes ( if you need something sweet) is a power bar .
Stephanie Smeds I live in Sweden. I doubt I will find the book and I doubt that I'll get the ingredients. But thank you for the tip. Might try your recipe. Should be able to get all but the shredded coconut.

When my flare up started I cut out wheat, dairy, caffeine and red meat. I find light meals sit so much better and don't casue the acid to start up . "All but Gluten" bread has been a life saver !

Chicken noodle soup is easy to make, and very soothing. I eat a lot of egg dishes too. Fried in olive oil, veggie omelets, quiches, scrambled, poached. I got an egg cookbook and have had good luck with egg based pasta too.

We should share more GERD friendly recipes- ones which we actually make and eat. My daughter made me a nice carob cake which tasted like chocolate. I should post that recipe. The whole family ate it.

Good ideas, Cindy Quesenberry, thank you! I'm going to try those foods. I've been angry and hungry. I thought I was doing good with probiotics and Betaine HCL with Pepsin, but I still have a burning throat. No acid burps coming up anymore though, but a fire in my throat. 🔥😩😠
Cindy Quesenberry
I'm so sorry, and I've been there. :( Hope the ideas help and good luck.

I do really well with broccoli rabe but usually order it from an Italian restaurant. You can put it in a pan with a little water or chicken stock is better for about 5-10 minutes. Don't overcook. Add sautéed fresh garlic and a healthy dose of olive oil and serve. You can add a little hot pepper flake if it doesn't irritate your stomach.
Anna Meri Gates
Not in the strictest sense. I buy salads and Amy's Frozen Dinners, potato chips, Kevita drinks, bags of popcorn, Stonyfield Farm yogurts (tiny), sweetened green tea (organic), and Sparkling Spring Water (Deer Park at times), so I rarely cook.

I use the leanest beef mince I can find and Instead of tomato based sauce I make my own using beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, small amount of tomato sauce and dried herbs. Never had a prob and always have taco Tuesday.

Turmeric and nutmeg are a no go for me too,but I'm not a huge fan of them anyway so I plan on replacing those with garlic powder and possibly eliminating the winter squash also. As with all recipes, its a matter of personal preferences and what you can tolerate and can not tolerate.

NOTE: I hope we all remember that GERD (as well as most chronic diseases) is multidimensional and individual. One diet might help someone while hurting another. What that means is - some recipes might work for some people while for some people they might cause reflux. Make sure that (based on ingredients) a recipe you've chosen won't trigger reflux for you. Thanks! :)

Hello everyone! Does anyone have some GERD friendly recipes that they love? My GERD is hitting me at full force right now, to the point where I had to call out of work. I also keep vomiting but my doctor doesn't seem concerned. He just told me lots of water and Pedialyte. I need to drastically change my diet again. I am recently married so it's difficult to come up with meals my husband will eat too. Before we we're married, I would eat lots of avaccado and Turkey. Any links to recipes are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

- Baked potatoes with yogurt instead of sour cream,
- or mashed using chicken broth instead of milk or butter.
- Rice
- Oatmeal
