What is the one food item y’all love to eat that makes your GERD/Acid Reflux act up?
What is the one food item y’all love to eat that makes your GERD/Acid Reflux act up? Mine is pineapple, it makes me terribly sick. It’s been very hard for me to give up.

Red onions and onion rings. I love onions...had to cut them out of my recipes. Crispy onion topping for casseroles is the worst, reflux and burping all night.

I found through low fodmap elimination that I can't tolerate onions of any kind which is a bummer because we used to use them in everything. I can use chives or green onions stems without trouble.

Pineapple actually helps me. I haven't found any one food that is always bad, it is usually a combination of food and events. Like coffee this morning when I forgot my muscle relaxer, being up way too late tonight and not taking my meds until 2am after eating a pizza sub for dinner. I would say live and learn but I'm pretty sure it's not the first time I've done this.

For some reason pineapples kick my butt! I have found that yogurts help relieve my symptoms.

I have actually tried an acid reflux smoothie that has lots of pineapple and it claims to make reflux better. I thought it helped me, but we are all different.

Anything tomatoe based sauce..and oj... I love oj but it hates me.

Anything acidic is bad for me and I get a lot of discomfort from eating banana, apple and also rice.
