My reflux is like pure acid in my esophagus
Did anyone else get acid reflux as a direct cause from ppis like me? My reflux is like pure acid in my esophagus. And no matter what I eat I get reflux! Also has anyone gotten healed for real?

Now i am confused! Why did you people start to taking PPI's. What was it if not reflux? I started myself because i have open daiphragm and hernia that is causing reflux. I had scars in my esophagus last january, started nexium and now the scars are gone. Still doing surgery though!

I had an alleged ulcer from nsaid use so the doc put me on ppis to reduce the acid so that the ulcer could heal upon trying to stop the ppis acid started pitching into my oesophagus.

I was given PPIs when I had painful swallowing. I rebounded after stopping. I started eating dairy (ie, yogurt) again. I haven't had a PPI in over a week and feel about 90% and am sleeping comfortably.

I was told to take one a day in the morning. I took about 30. They definitely helped till I tried to get off them. Then I started doing some research. I'm somewhat casein intolerant which is why I stopped eating dairy, but I'd rather deal with that than the GERD. I feel much better..I'm not sure how long you take them matters. What matters is what you replace it with.

I feel good all day but when I lay down I feel acid in my esophagus going to my throat. Why?

nexium helps me, I was on the max dose until the insurance changed my meds.

Always do sleep in an inclined position ,it helps prevent acid from reaching up to the throat.

Gravity. Sleep on a wedge pillow or elevated mattress. The acid comes up the esophagus. Wait at least 3 hours after eating to go to bed. Take zantac or gaviscon before bed. And camomile tea with honey is soothing and relaxing an hour before bed. Low acid diet

Always try other stuff before the meds unfortunately, none of that worked for me so, meds were my only option.

I sleep in a recliner that is in my couch. It's not the greatest. But it keeps me upright because I experience the same thing, as soon as I lay down, I feel it in my chest and throat. So sitting up all the time it is for now.

Throat is just aching deep and goes up into jaw almost.... is this common or should i be concerned?
Also when i breathe the spots that ache feel like air is hitting “fresh” skin and cause it to ache as soon as air hits??????? 😔 i have severe anxiety and im having panic attacks because its just to much.

Make sure you don't buy aloe juice with citric acid in it. It's in a lot of them and it makes my throat worse. There's a brand called 'Gerorge's' that omits it.

Acid Reflux is stuck of meal in the esophagus ?? Please tell me ?

No acid reflux is whe the stomach acid splashes up into the esophagus. But the feeling of food stuck can be a symptom too, along with burning and regurgitating food up.

There are many conditions that can cause this. Motility disorders of the esophagus such as achalasia, nutcracker esophagus, and diffuse esophageal spasms. Gastro reflux can cause scarring in the esophagus due to the acid refluxing back up which leads to strictures. It's hard to tell without proper testing. Have you had a barium swallow or video flouroscopy with food? A recent endoscopy? A manometry test for motility disorders?
