'Gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD, is a digestive disorder that affects the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), the ring of muscle between the esophagus and stomach. Many people, including pregnant women, suffer from heartburn or acid indigestion caused by GERD

It feels like im having a heart attack from esophageal spasms

I'm so sick of living like this, waking up coughing and choking on acid, chest pain so severe it feels like im having a heart attack from esophageal spasms( I have nut cracker esophagus) a feeling as if a huge air bubble is stuck in the center of my chest, shortness of breath and can't burp. My stomach constantly upset and feeling nauseous. Feeling as if im choking on something or something is stuck in my throat which im constantly clearing from all the phlegm. Its making my anxiety go haywire which is making all this worse. None of my meds seem to be helping and I am just miserable. Sorry for the rant but living like this sucks!

I was refluxing literally every five minutes and at night I'd reflux, inhale it, then wake up choking on it. I was trying to neutralise the acid with milk because it's alkaline, but it made it worse. I stopped consuming dairy products in January for unrelated reasons and as a bonus, I've stopped refluxing (apart from one instance last week due to stress from moving house).

I've been staying away from dairy and eating very bland. Nothing seems to be helping. Its just very frustrating

Angie Boone I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. This whole thing has me so depressed. And I’m starving but can’t eat .. if I eat I boost up, chest pain, can’t breathe, feel like I’m going to pass out, dizzy. I’m just so tired of it.

I guess we have to experiment because we're all different. I have a hiatus hernia, but it's the least of my problems. I try to stay upbeat though and not let it drag me down. I'm grateful for small victories. I'm having radiation therapy at the mom...Lihat Lainnya
